For many centuries we can find in our American history many of the so called Christians who have hated, have caused wars, have killed people in the name of the god they say they serve
The south was a great example of how far the so called Christians would go.
The slaves of America, where black people were hung, whipped, raped and killed by the so called Christians of that day. Southern preachers teaching hatred from the pulpits.
We will witness this again on September 11, when the so called Pastor Terry Jones will guide his congregation in the burning of the Quran.
This action of hate and disrespect of American Muslims will cause significant problems, not only for Americans but everywhere in the world.
This so called pastor, have been warned of the havoc and the problems that he will cause when his so called christian church going people start the burning of the Quran...
Top military commander, Gen David Petraeus warned that the plan could put US troops lives at risk.
Do they care?
No, this pastor and his followers are ignoring the warnings. Their hatred is so deep that they said they have made up their minds to do so.
The evil that boils inside of them has convinced them that they are not wrong by doing so.
One comment that Jones said on CNN's AC360. "We are burning the book, We are not killing someone. We are not murdering people"
What Bible are they reading? This act of disrespect is not taught in the bible I read.
This small group of people from Florida will be an embarrassment to Americans and what this country was built, people who lost their live for the freedom of religion.
This group was founded in 1986, their mission statement states that their are a church for the rich the poor the young and the old, it stands up for righteousness and for the truth of the Bible. Again I ask what Bible are they reading? I figured that in the fine print it excluded certain people.
What would these same so called Christians do if Bibles were being burned. Believe me they would want to go to war.
The worse part they know they are being offensive to Muslims.
In defense of America, the majority of real Christians are against this actions of disrespect and have protested against it.
But just as the saying goes, one bad apple spoils the bunch.
These apples at Terry Jones church are rotten to the core and will destroy more than just a bunch....

Thanks Rasman1, religion is dangerous, that's why I feel being spiritual is better.
I am a Christian and I am saddened by this act. This does nothing to bring any Muslim to Christ, show anyone who Christ is, or convince anyone to repent and be saved. I hope Pastor Jones is awakened to the foolishness he is involved in and decides to cancel this.
Christians in Muslim countries will certainly pay a price for this. That should be motive enough for him to stop.
I agree, I feel being spiritual is better also. The fruits of a true christian will shine.

What the hell does being spiritual mean? @ Miles you are so right about Christian being targeted in Muslim countries. this is like a repeat of history. The crusades was a war between Christians and Muslims. In fact it was the Christians that started that war. Convert to Christ or die. I can't believe this is happening. I am hopeful about about the outcry. Many people are not cool with this Wolf in sheeps clothing is gonna do. I am happy that many Christians are speaking against the Wolf.
I just read the story about Cornelius. Acts Chapter 10. This pastor has forgotten what Peter came to realize. This pastor is an infidel and he has twisted his congregation. Read and share the story of Cornelius and Peter to those people that support the burning and those that are in opposition. Maybe JAH showed me that story to share with all of you. Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or immaterial reality;[1] an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of their being; or the “deepest values and meanings by which people live.” (Wikepedia)
Being spiritual to me is that inner being that connects me with God. It's not religious with a branded name.
Spiritual is my connection through prayer, which in my life has shown me that there is someone higher than ourselves.

I agree, it is foolish, but your statement," This action of hate and disrespect of American Muslims will cause significant problems", even though true makes me think of the hate and disrespect that was shown to Americans, Christians or not by Muslims over the years.
Lifegate, I do agree, that their has been disrespect all around, but at some point someone has to grow up. What worries me is the retaliation that will come. We are losing lives already. Why promote more lives to be lost in greater numbers? Thanks for your comment...

New Life, You are right about Muslims causing pain to Christians but you must also remember that Christians in history has treated Muslims with disrespect from the start. The crusades was a war of Christians vs Muslims started by Christians. Radical Muslims have also killed other Muslims. There are radical elements in all facets of religion.
